What inspires you to show up at work every day?
The passion for my work is my drive; I truly love being a chef.


How did you determine your career path?
I’ve always enjoyed cooking and I knew that I wanted to be able to create in the food industry. Therefore, it was a natural fit for me to attend Culinary School and pursue my dream in the food industry.


Describe the skill sets that are essential for future business leader and innovators.

Every business leader must be self-motivated and determined.


Define innovative methods you apply to your business and life.
I take the time to customize each client’s needs. I do not believe in anything being standard. It is in the details that I find that my company rises above the rest.

Who do you consider your peers in you field and a few that are great examples you can get support and best practices?
I still find inspiration from my instructors from culinary school. I also lean on Carlton Youngblood, Calvin Moses and Shavonn McCantis, who continue to challenge me and share best practices.

Describe why lifelong learning is important to you.
Because the world is constantly evolving so to keep up you have to be willing to continuously learn. I enjoy learning.

Describe the voice of success that you hear in your head.
It is a voice that has developed from watching the success of others. For example, the voice reminds me that to achieve success I had to be happy in what I was doing.

Technology plays what role in your daily life?
Technology is crucial to my business. It is the means of communication to many of my clients as well as the research I may do.

Describe your favorite vacation spot.

There are so many spots that I have enjoyed. I enjoyed places that bring history to life and help me to understand how our lives are shaped currently. I have enjoyed traveling to Brazil, Israel and Paris, to name a few places that embody the historical essence of our past.

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

I would wish to have more patience with people.
