Nicki Minaj wasted no time addressing rumors that another rapper wrote rhymes for her early in her career. The controversy started after rapper Ransom implied he was her ghostwriter in a song called “Man Alone.” “Before Nicki was wearing those crazy wigs, I was doing verses for her, just hoping she made it big,” he rapped, which many interpreted as an admission that he was writing her material.
“I rap better than him, who the f— is he?” she responded. “I’m not even a man and n—as got my d— in their mouth. Get the f— out of here! Are you serious?”
As she prepared to leave, she fired off a few more disses at Ransom and anyone else doubting her emcee cred. “I’m undisputed because I’m the only female rapper — day one — I don’t need no muthaf—in’ ghostwriter.”
“So, if you are telling that lie you must be real desperate and you still ain’t gonna pop, how about that?” Nicki added. “How a wack n—a gonna write my s—? I haven’t even heard about that in the last five years. I slaughter these n—as, period!”
