Singer Jhene Aiko was injured in a bad car accident and forced to cancel an upcoming show. The songstress, who is known for her collaborations with Drake, Kendrick Lamar‘s TDE crew and is currently featured on Big Sean‘s single “Beware,” was hurt in a serious crash, but apparently managed to walk away with relatively minor injuries. There were also two other passengers who were transported to the hospital after the accident.
It was confirmed that her planned performance at LSU had to be cancelled. Aiko’s longtime friend, Ms Diddy, updated fans on Aiko’s condition.
“Update on @JheneAiko: she’s going to be fine, she has a broken wrist & really bruised up and some stitches but keep praying 4 her,” Ms Diddy tweeted.
A short time later, Aiko herself shared a hospital photo on Instagram and assured everyone that both she and her young daughter were recuperating after the ordeal.
“Thank u all for the prayers,” she wrote. “I get to go home …. just a broken wrist, chipped tooth and stitches in my chin. Most importantly, Nami is ok. She was also in the car, in the backseat with me. I’m also thankful that @sonnieoryan and @miyokochilombo are ok also! Be safe out there everybody and thank u again for the love.”
