After a long nine years, the threequal to Chronicles of Riddick opened in theaters this weekend. Expected to top the box office, Riddick has already passed the $10 million mark.

Looking at the star of Riddick, Vin Diesel, his body doesn’t look like it has aged at all over those nine years thanks to his simple but consistent workout and diet plan.

Vin Diesel’s weekly workouts are done on three days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. He warms up with a light jog for no more than five minutes each day. On Mondays, he concentrates on shoulders and chest with 10-15 reps of shoulder presses, pushups, bench presses and flies that are inclined using dumbbells and barbells. Wednesday’s target area is the back. Several pull-ups, bent overs, dead lifts and cable rows when the grip is wide are done. Friday is leg and arms day complete with pushups, rope extensions for triceps, calf raises and lunges.

Vin Diesel’s diet plan isn’t very complicated either. While the actor doesn’t keep a calorie count, he does eat six to eight meals per day consisting of mostly lean protein. His main source of protein consists of lean beef.  He also eats lot of chicken, fish and six eggs a day to maintain his 500 g of protein a week to keep those muscles popping. His favorite go to carbohydrates are sweet potatoes, which he keeps at a daily level of 180 grams or less.
