On Nove. 3-5, the Association of National Advertisers held its 2013 ANA Multicultural Marketing and Diversity Conference in Los Angeles. Influential leaders in the industry conferred to discuss the importance of appealing to a multicultural demographic. In marketing and advertising, they recognize the influence that multi-ethnic and cross-cultural consumers have on the growing market, which is key to navigating the ever-changing landscape.
Field experts provided attendees with tools on brand building, benchmark branding and maintaining relevance in the multi- and cross-cultural marketing evolution.
Highlights included a luncheon hosted by multimedia personality Steve Harvey. Award-winning gospel singers Mary Mary performed, and the 13th annual Multicultural Excellence Awards Dinner was hosted by comedian D.L. Hughley. Leading brands in attendance included Walmart, Amway, General Mills and Coca-Cola.
The 2013 ANA Multicultural Marketing and Diversity Conference brought awareness and recognition to those who have done outstanding work in African American, Asian, Hispanic, LGBT and general market advertising. The awards were sponsored by Nielsen, 3AF, BET Networks and Pandora.
