Big Boi reveals why HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ is one of his favorite TV shows

Big Boi of OutKast recently attended the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. During his trip, Big Boi stopped by HBO’s “Game of Thrones” party as the network celebrated the upcoming new season. The OutKast member attended the event because he’s a huge fan of “Game of Thrones.”

Big Boi spoke with rolling out and revealed why “Game of Thrones” is one of his favorite TV shows.

“Along with ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Game of Thrones’ is one of my favorite shows,” Big Boi said. “It’s all about kings, queens, dragons and knights. It’s a story of all the families fighting for the Iron Throne and the key to the  North. You can catch up on the story by going to HBO Go or I’m excited for the new season that begins in April.”

“Game of Thrones” was created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and adapted from the novel, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. The series premiered on HBO in the spring of 2011. The show stands as one of the highest rated shows on HBO with a weekly viewership of 14.2 million. The fourth season premieres on April 6.

Big Boi, who has proven himself as an actor, also joked about possibly starring in his own HBO series in the future. For now, Big Boi is preparing to go on tour with his partner-in-rhyme, André 3000, to celebrate 20 years of OutKast. The first of 40 shows will be at Coachella.
