Mama Joyce explains why she thinks Todd Tucker cheated with Kandi’s friend

Mama Joyce - Cover

For months now, Mama Joyce has found herself looking like a major villain in the public eye thanks to her unending claims that Todd Tucker, her daughter Kandi Burruss’ fiancé, is an opportunist and cheated on her with her BFF Carmon. Although there has never been any evidence besides hearsay to support Joyce’s claims, she’s now revealing her reasons for believing Tucker cheated with Carmon.

In a new interview with Sister 2 Sister, Joyce claims that she doesn’t see Tucker as a man who’s worthy of her daughter.

“I would like a real man, a man that just looks at her and thinks that she’s the prize, the way I look at her.”

Joyce claims that it doesn’t matter what kind of job any man who dates Burruss has, but she then claims that Tucker’s job is a problem for her because he is a freelance worker.

“He could be a postman. He could be a police officer. He could be a fireman…As long as when she marries him, he don’t quit his job,” said Joyce. “If he was working a full job, if he was a full production person that has full benefits and all that, I’d be happy.”

Tucker’s job isn’t the only thing Joyce has a problem with. She also claims that, during a taping of “The Kandi Factory,” she saw Tucker getting suspiciously too close to another woman from “The Sisterhood,” another show that he worked on.

“I thought it was unusual for a woman to come visit there and talk to him,” she said.

As for Carmon, Joyce also claims that she once saw Tucker and Carmon getting cozy together at dinner.

“Todd and Carmen were sitting at a table, all head to head talking. I’m trying to figure out what they got to talk so much about that they got to be head to head,” she said. “They were eating off the same plate, drinking out the same glass.”

Although she didn’t see it herself, Joyce claims that she was told that Carmon was also spotted sitting in Tucker’s lap.

Since then, Joyce has been highly suspicious of Tucker, so much so that she even admitted that she did indeed offer her eyewitness money to set up Tucker.

“If you can get those kinds of pictures, I’d pay for that. I’d pay for that. Kandi would not believe it unless she saw the pictures,” she said.

Joyce says she stands by her thoughts on Tucker. However, Joyce does apologize for threatening to beat up Carmon at Burruss bridal gown fitting.

“I was so angry about [the rumors] and then for her to disrespect me, I forgot about the fact that I was on TV. I apologized to fans or anybody that thought of me as a mom or as an adult, I apologize for that. That was not me. I was so full and fed up. I did not have control of me. I do apologize for that. That’s not my normal character, but what I would say is that I love my daughter. There’s nothing I won’t do for my daughter.”

Well, Joyce may have vowed to stay out of Burruss’ business, but it looks like she’s still just as involved as ever. – nicholas robinson

I wish she would go sit her old ass down and get a life

Typical nosey old lady trying to make something out of nothing. sorta like that old nosey witch in The women of brewster place lol

    • Caydence James on February 17, 2014 at 2:57 pm

That “typical nosey old lady” is a oiman who pushed Kandi out of her body, prayed for her, bargained with God on her behalf, clothed her, made sure she got through school and supported her career. That may not give her the right to run Kandi’s life but it does give her the right to say something if she sees someone trying to take advantage of her daughter and not be reduced to being a “typical nosy old lady”.

She said something already. Kandi is still with Todd. So she needs to shut her mouth.

You need to read the bible verse Ecclesiastes 3:7

It seems you are the religious type good then you should know the above bible verse. There is a time to be silent and a time to speak. There is also no excuse for calling someone a hooker and trashing them infront of their minor child but you enable this behavior with an excuse. Sad.

        • Caydence James on July 14, 2014 at 3:33 am

Not sure where you got that assumption but no, I’m not one of those “religious” types. Still, in looking at ALL of the assumptions you’ve made (which were wrong), I tend to agree that ‘some people’ do need to use judgement on when it’s time to be silent and when it’s time to speak.

Say what you will but as a child of a woman who NEVER protected her from ANYTHING (including her new husband) I think that instead of trashing this woman, maybe people need to start watching this dude carefully. She didn’t raise Kandi just to have someone come in and trash her life. Not saying that she should run Kandi’s ife every but if this is not her normal behavior, maybe it’s worth looking into.

Everyone always have something negative to say when someone points out that a man is up to no good-until they find out that he’s up to no good.

    • Jenn Terry on February 17, 2014 at 5:37 pm

He may very well be no good, I don’t know, but he’s who Kandi chose, and Kandi is an adult. It’s fine to give advice, but once she made her choice Mama needed to back off.

      • Caydence James on July 12, 2014 at 4:00 am

Which is why I said,”Not saying that she should run Kandi’s life every but if this is not her normal behavior, maybe it’s worth looking into”.

yes but it is a time to say your piece and then there is a time to stop interfering, as a child of a mother who is involved in everything in my life – sometimes enough is enough and sometimes i hope my mom sees herself when watches this.

Kanid is not a child but a grown (aging) woman. Seems Mama Joyce is the one trashing Kandi’s life with her negative energy and put downs. A person has to be really evil to diss Todd’s teenage daughter by saying in front of that child that she did not care anything about her then trash Todd in front of his daughter on the day of the wedding. This was just an evil sick thing to do. Once Kandi picked Todd that was her decision and no longer Mama Joyce’s business period.

Sometimes you can drive a person to go astray. Kandi enables her mother in her uncouth, no class, wicked, evil behavior. Todd was also within his rights to ask for whatever they earn together in the marriage if he has to get out and can no longer tolerate Kandi’s mother’s abuse. Attacking Todd’s mother and daughter crossed the line but now this witch is starting her own website and fan club.
That is not impressive since various notorious murderers in prison have fan clubs too.

To all of the people who responded to me below….I URGE you to look into using reading comprehension. Because IF you took the time to read my comment you would have noticed that I said….

“IF this is not her normal behavior [then] maybe it’s worth looking into”.

Which means exactly what it says.

Which means that if this is in reverse and she ALWAYS interferes then that would mean that it’s NOT worth looking into it, wouldn’t it?

But I will say this… NO ONE FORCES an alleged grown woman to go astray so IF Kandi only wanted to marry this guy JUST to prove her mother wrong then she’s doing a disservice to herself so I hope that she has some very SOLID reasons for marrying him. That is all.

      • Jenn Terry on July 17, 2014 at 6:00 pm

Just because people don’t agree with you doesn’t mean that they lack reading comprehension skills. We can all just agree to disagree.

        • Caydence James on July 20, 2014 at 5:53 am

It’s not about whether they are disagreeing with me or not. In order for a person to agree or disagree they’d have to actually read and UNDERSTAND what was written. Otherwise all they are doing is disagreeing with the assumptions they’ve made; not with anything I’ve actually said.

If Todd is up to no good, Kandi is old enough to fall on her own and get back up. I hope all is well with the couple. I understand her mother’s concern but she must learn to let Kandi make her own mistakes (if that’s what it is).

  5. Steelo on February 19, 2014 at 7:24 am

Mama Joyce is ignorant, period. Using the “Mama” tag to justify her unfounded ignorance. Kandi is only beholden to our true parent in heaven. Mothers & Fathers are just our stewards here on earth, some good….some bad. But none have the right to interfere in a life pledged to GOD. His will be done.

    • Guest on July 9, 2014 at 7:44 am

Did you see that nasty, disgusting over the top degenerate, no class bachelorette and bachelor party since you’re really naïve enough to think their life is pledged to God? Doubt it.

Does anyone notice the resemblance with Kandi and the Joker from the Batman movies? Her mouth is way too wide to smile so much and her mother is the one who looks like a old retired hooker, not Todd’s mother that Mama Joyce claimed was a hooker. Todd’s mom should sue for slander.
