Beautiful Textures Texture Manageability System

Atlanta beauty bloggers and media professionals were treated to an application of Beautiful Textures’ latest product that temporarily takes natural tresses from kinky coily to silky straight.  On Thursday the city’s Drexina Nelson salon played host to the debut of the reversible straightening Texture Manageability System. The chemical free at-home product boasts up to six weeks of straightened coiffure for naturalistas opting for a new look.

According to Beautiful Textures content specialist Kimberly Walker, the TMS works with hair’s salt bonds and contains amino acids and shea butter for moisture and shine.

“It’s a four-step system that lets you go from curly to straight and reverts back natural,” said Walker. “It’s very simple; there’s a shampoo and an interactive leave-in conditioner. You blow dry [your hair] and flat iron to seal in the amino acids, olive oil and shea butter that’s actually in the product. It has no harsh chemicals.”

“We work on your hair’s bonds,” she added. “Your hair has three different types of bonds; hydrogen bonds, salt bonds and sulfite bonds. Our product lays on top of your salt bonds, it connects with it and helps to keep it straight for a little while and then you can wash it out.”
