2 young lesbians murdered at Mardi Gras

On March 7, 2014 the bodies of Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, both 24, were found next to a dumpster by a beer delivery man. The two openly lesbian women were in the town of Port Bolivar near Galveston, Texas to celebrate Mardi Gras. The victim’s car is also missing and is described as a 2006 KIA Sorento, silver with gray trim but having an unknown tag.

According to law enforcement, it seems that the two women were killed elsewhere, each by different methods and their bodies left by the dumpster. Community activist Bro. Quanell X of the New Black Panther Nation and the New Black Muslims in Houston has come to the aid of the community by galvanizing the neighborhood. Many in the community think the two women were murdered because they were lesbians and feel that the police should treat their deaths as a hate crime.
