Mountainous Hall of Fame-caliber center Shaquille O’Neal is under investigation by the Atlanta Police Department for an assault that seriously hurt the victim on the set of TNT.

According to reports, the four-time NBA champion and current basketball analyst for TNT maybe have been joking around with an employee named Robert Williams and caused considerable injury — or the guy realized a payday could be involved and is pretending to be hurt.

“(The co-worker) alleged Shaquille O’Neal tackled him to the ground causing injury to his back while they were at work at Turner Studios,” said Sgt. Greg Lyon with the Atlanta Police Department.

The incident took place on May 19, 2013, at the studios located at Techwood Drive and 10th Street.

Williams went to the Atlanta Police Department and said the 7-foot, 300-pound-plus Shaq tackle-punched him, knocking him down and falling on top of him.

Sources told Young that Williams suffered serious injuries.

Shaq, who won three titles in four championship appearances with the Los Angeles Lakers before winning another ring in Miami, says this was just a horseplay gone wrong, no police were called at the time, but now they are involved.

Lawyers for Robert Williams say it was a lot more than horseplay.

The investigation is ongoing.
