Maya Rudolph to star in self-titled NBC series ‘The Maya Rudolph Show’

Bridesmaids actress Maya Rudolph makes her big return to NBC with her very own show, “The Maya Rudolph Show,” set to air next month.

According to reports,


“The Emmy Award nominee and “Saturday Night Live” veteran who recently starred in another peacock comedy series, “Up All Night” — will be joined by Kristen Bell, Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, Craig Robinson, Sean Hayes, and Chris Parnell.

Janelle Monáe will pop up as the musical guest, while Raphael Saaddiq will serve as bandleader.”


While it is unclear whether or not Rudolph’s sketch special will serve as a pilot for a weekly show, Rudolph herself, along with David Javerbaum, Erin David and Dave Becky will produce, with Lorne Michaels serving as executive producer.
