Ex-NBA and ‘Basketball Wives’ star says he’s homeless and broke after blowing $40 million

Former NBA player Eric Williams played 12 years in the NBA and earned nearly $40 million. But today, Williams claims that he’s homeless and broke.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Williams says that he spent all of his money and doesn’t have a place to stay. He is being sued over child support in Colorado.

Eric owes about $24,000 in back child support payments  wrote to a judge explaining why he can’t afford to pay her the money. He says that he doesn’t have a home, lacks the funds for a lawyer and he couldn’t afford a plane ticket to Colorado.

He also claimed that his only work comes from volunteering at a nonprofit.

After his NBA career was over, Eric appeared on several episodes of “Basketball Wives” along with his ex-wife, Jennifer Williams.

This could be a ploy to get his child support payments lowered, or Eric could be another example of a wealthy pro athlete who blew millions in a matter of years.
