“Rewind”
Perhaps taking a cue from The Pharcyde’s classic 1995 video for “Drop,” Nas decided to literally flip a song concept by telling a story from the end to the beginning. An otherwise ordinary hood narrative becomes a lot more interesting when you “spit a story backwards that starts at the ending.”
