Too $hort arrested, tries to flee again?

Rapper Too $hort was arrested at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California, on Oct. 2.  According to NBC Los Angeles, the Oakland-bred hip-hop legend was busted for possessing a loaded handgun, after a TSA employee reportedly noticed at an airport checkpoint that he had a firearm in a carry-on bag.

When the incident initially occurred, $hort, born Todd Shaw, left the area without his possessions before security could detain him, according to what Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco told NBC. He returned with his attorney and was cited and released for possession of a loaded weapon in a public place.

This wasn’t the first time Too $hort attempted to evade the cops. In March 2013, the rapper was video recorded attempting to run from the police after being pulled over for driving under the influence. He ran from the officers on the scene briefly before stumbling and being handcuffed.

$hort is now scheduled to appear at a Burbank court hearing on Nov. 3.
