Nicki Minaj continues her reign across music, film and fashion.
Days following the release of her third studio album, The Pinkprint, the Young Money rapper revealed via Instagram that she has been dubbed the new face of Roberto Cavalli. Not a bad look!
In Roberto Cavalli’s latest campaign, shot by Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini, Minaj rocks a jet-black bouffant and a variety of bold, flowy print gowns; quite the makeunder for the once gaudy superstar.
In addition to her ad campaign, the Young Money rapper will endorse Roberto Cavalli’s eyewear, accessory and ready-to-wear lines. In a recent statement to Forbes, Cavalli praised the Barb’s famous figure as inspiration for the campaign.
“I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body — who is not afraid to show her curves. Instead, she makes them her strength.”
You go girl!
