D’Angelo already has a lot to be thankful for now that he’s finally made a comeback with the release of his critically acclaimed album, Black Messiah. Now it seems that the creatively free singer is also freeing himself from his massive debt by paying some major bucks to the IRS.

According to TheJasmineBrand.com, D’Angelo had accrued more than $160,000 in tax debt, as well as several tax liens.

However, the IRS filed a federal tax lien release on Dec. 12 showing that D’Angelo paid Uncle Sam $32,348.70 for unpaid taxes for the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Documents also show that D’Angelo paid off another tax lien in the amount of $130,137.09 earlier this year for debt he owed from 2002.

The federal government has reportedly released D’Angelo from both of his liens and they will no longer attempt to seize his property or his assets.

Well, we’re glad that D’Angelo finally got things settled with the IRS. Hopefully, he never falls behind on his taxes again.
