‘R&B Divas’ producer opens up about show cancellation

The fate of “R&B Divas Atlanta” has seemed pretty dismal over the past few weeks as rumors have spread that the show has definitely been canceled after only three seasons. And matters were made worse when producer and former series star Nicci Gilbert claimed that even she didn’t know the fate of the show. ” ‘R&B Divas Atlanta’ has not been canceled. There has been no definitive decision made by the network. Yeah, contracts have expired. We have not renewed any of the cast contracts. That’s no secret. We’re in discussions now, but the show is absolutely not canceled. I was on the phone with the network today and the show is absolutely not canceled,” Thornton said in a recent interview with TheJasmineBrand.com.

But the story doesn’t end there. He also addressed Gilbert’s jabs at him and her impact on the show. Read what he had to say about Gilbert, as well as “R&B Divas LA” star Claudette Ortiz, after the cut.
