Lisa Bonet makes 2nd red carpet appearance, supports daughter Zoë Kravitz

The Mad Max: Fury Road premiere’s red carpet with flooded with stars including Zoë Kravitz and mom Lisa Bonet, Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy and even a surprise appearance by the original “MAX,” Mel Gibson.

It was held on Thursday, May 7 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Other guests included actors from the film Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Nathan Jones, Josh Helman, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, Abbey Lee, Courtney Eaton, Angus Sampson and Megan Gale as well as celebrities Joel Edgerton, Seth MacFarlane, Thandie Newton, Patton Oswalt, Lisa Marie Presley, Priscilla Presley, Edgar Wright and many more.


Mad Max: Fury Road returns to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky. Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

Tom Hardy stars in the title role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”—the fourth in the franchise’s history.  Oscar winner Charlize Theron (“Monster) stars as the Imperator, Furiosa.  The film also stars Nicholas Hoult as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne as Immortan Joe; Nathan Jones as Rictus Erectus; Josh Helman as Slit; collectively known as The Wives, Zoë Kravitz plays Toast, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is Splendid, Riley Keough is Capable, Abbey Lee is The Dag, and Courtney Eaton is Fragile.


Oscar-winning filmmaker George Miller (“Happy Feet”) directed “Mad Max: Fury Road” from a screenplay he wrote with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris.  Miller also produced the film, along with longtime producing partner, Doug Mitchell, and P.J. Voeten.  Iain Smith, Chris DeFaria, Courtenay Valenti, Graham Burke, Steven Mnuchin and Bruce Berman served as executive producers.
