The BBQ and Blues Fest gave fathers in the audience a great treat for their day. Each artist took the stage singing the all-time real life lyrics of the blues. The concert started out with the only female on the line-up, Sheeba Potts-Wright, followed by Clarence Carter “stroking” the audience, Mr. Lenny “Oh Oh Oh” Williams singing many of his hits, and TK Soul keeping the audience’s attention.

Of course, Mr. Bobby Rush with his all-star female dancers gave the fathers much excitement. Wolf Creek Amphitheater and J.D. Entertainment also gave a tribute to the late Mel Waiters, who passed away on May 28 after a battle with cancer. He was scheduled to perform at the concert. Mel Waiters is known for his songs “Got My Whiskey” and “Hole in the Wall.”

Closing out the night was Sir Charles singing “Is There Anybody Lonely” and “Friday.”
