While most people have turned their backs to comedian Bill Cosby, his alleged former mistress is coming to his defense. Teresa Taylor, claims she had a love relationship with Cosby for three years beginning in 1979. Taylor says she doesn’t believe his forty-plus accusers, who have come forward with allegations of drugging and sexual assault. Taylor publicly defends Cosby despite the resurface of court documents from a 2005 legal case involving the comedienne-turned-actor where he admitted to buying Quaaludes for the purpose of drugging women for sex, and actually giving the drug to a 19-year-old girl in Las Vegas.

“What I’ve seen happening in the press about him is so disheartening. He is a kind man. I have never spoken about my personal life before and I needed to say that,” Taylor tells FOX411. “Do I believe half of the women? No.”

As for Taylor’s reason for siding with Cosby she states, “I respect the women and I can’t dispute it but I don’t believe a lot of it,” she said. “He didn’t need to do anything to get women to sleep with him. Women are attracted to men with money and power. At the time, he was one of the most powerful men in Hollywood.”

The former actress claims she first met Cosby in 1979 while he was guest hosting “The Tonight Show.” She was 19-years-old at the time. Taylor caught his attention and he invited her out to dinner. This led to a three-year affair which included double dates with Cosby’s pal Hugh Hefner and the Playboy mogul’s then-girlfriend Barbi Benton.

“He was so respectful towards me,” Taylor said. “He never drugged me or offered me Quaaludes. I was young and he took care of me – sometimes financially. He was good to my family. My mom had pictures of Bill all over the house. My mother knew I was alone in Hollywood and I believed she felt safe knowing Cosby was there for me.”

At the time, the 56-year-old Taylor confesses they were in love. “I didn’t even know the word mistress,” she said. “I actually believed he would leave his wife for me but they never leave.” Cosby’s wife Camille Cosby, Taylor states, willfully turned a blind eye to the relationship. “She knew,” Taylor says, “She chose not to acknowledge it.”

Cosby is currently facing multiple civil suits from several of the women who have accused him of rape and sexual assault. The 77-year-old could very well be investigated for criminal charges should one accuser, Chloe Goins, press charges this year, before the statute of limitations expires. Goins claims that Cosby sexually assaulted her at the Playboy mansion in 2008.
