Lupita Nyong’o’s got a new do…

On Saturday, the 12 Years a Slave actress debuted a new hairstyle via Instagram taken at Disney’s D23 Expo. “Geekin’ out at #Disney #d23expo.” read the caption.

While we’ve grown to love the 32-year-old actresses short sleek hairstyles, her recent ‘do, with her hair reaching down to her ears is absolutely adorable. Nyong’o then blessed our Instagram feeds with yet another photo showing off the new style.

In the second photo, we get a glimpse of Nyong’o (while sporting a goofy expression) rocking a fabulous green, white and black striped mini dress and white pumps, as she cluthes two movie posters: Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Disney’s The Jungle Book, which she was in town to promote at the fan expo in Anaheim, California, yesterday. She was also on deck to promote a third film, The Queen of Katwe, based on the real-life story of 12-year-old chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi, was shot on location in Uganda.

“First of all, I am from East Africa, from Kenya, which is just next door to Uganda,” Nyong’o said of filming in Africa. “It was invaluable. I met Phiona and her mother and they are just incredible people.”

Nyong’o then talked about how the people of the slums of Katwe have “dignity” and Katwe “is a difficult place to live,” and shooting there “did sober us and enliven us. To have that vibe was really exciting.”

Nyong’o is part of an A-list cast in the upcoming Star Wars flick starring veterans Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. The film is scheduled to hit theaters in December 2015.
