After successfully debuting his last single, “Having Thangs” featuring Trae tha Truth on World Star Hip Hop, rapper Laboo steams back with the hot, new single “Bad Guy” featuring female rapper Just Brittany. Just Brittany pours another dose of Texas on the track by lending her vocals to the hook and playing out the “good girl” role in the single’s new visual.

We recently ran into Laboo at Treesound recording studio in Atlanta to get the formal introduction from the GM Mali Hunter. I could tell right away there was something different about the OG Muzic label, as the entire team was in the studio and I could tell they came to handle business. Laboo was in the booth working with Beat Masta Wes and producer Izzie. Pokey (Robert Davis) founder of OG Muzic Group was chilling and supervising the process as the rest of the team gave their critiques and opinions on which single should be the next to drop.

Enlisting BET Hip Hop Awards video director “Mr. Boomtown” also wasn’t a bad idea. This video rocks and is now being featured on Vevo and will soon come to life on MTV Jams in the upcoming week. If you want to check out  “Bad Guy” now, it’s also featured on Laboo’s “Meet the Connect” mixtape and lighting up the radio airwaves in multiple markets. The Port Arthur, Texas native’s lyrical ability and sound gives us a break from “trap music” and brings the old school sound back to life.

“I’ve been through a lot in my life and I’ve seen a lot more. I write about real life from my point of view. I do my best to take the listener to a special moment in time, like a Polaroid picture, and give them a moment remember,” Laboo said.

Laboo is the youngest in a family of 12. He has the ability to paint vivid pictures through words and rhythms. He chose to use his gift to revive the sound of the hip hop founders but with a Texas chop.
