Master P slams Lamar Odom

Last week, Master P was attacking celebrities left and right as he went on a blame campaign against Kobe Bryant and the Kardashian family, claiming they were somehow responsible for Lamar Odom falling into a coma in an alleged drug overdose. However, it seems that Master P goofed up and made himself the one to blame in the eyes of his fans when he posted a controversial Instagram post this weekend.

On Oct. 16, P, who has in the past talked about his close friendship with Odom, posted a message on Instagram in which he, shockingly, told his followers that he distanced himself from Odom over his dysfunctional lifestyle.

“I tried to mentor [Lamar] and give him advice, but he is a grown man and made his own decisions … I get that, that’s life. So that’s why I stopped dealing with Lamar,” P said in the post.

It didn’t take long for fans to respond and they criticized P, calling him a hypocrite for saying that Bryant was a fake friend and that the Kardashians used Odom for reality TV.

Seeing that the tides had turned against him, P deleted the original post and then replaced it with a message about who he thinks fans should be focusing their energy on: Odom.

Read P’s post after the cut.

Really Percy! I knew you had recognition issues and that’s why you slammed Kobe Bryant.

It’s just a shame when a successful brother has to feel good about knocking another brother especially someone as successful as Kobe Bryant. Shouldn’t we leave that for others to do since many are already hating on us enough?

Bill Cosby had the same attitude that Master P is taking on being high and mighty and better than others? I guess several hundred million dollars changes one’s perspective more than they realize? I don’t quite have several hundred million dollars so I can only imagine? I’m not here to judge Master P, Bill Cosby, Kobe, or anyone however……….

Keeping it real is going to the bedside of your critically ill friend or mentee. Not knocking another successful brother and joining the hater’s club. Even if Lamar told you he felt Kobe and other NBA friends were not there for him….

      1. You should have kept that info he supposedly confided in you to yourself?
2.Being the saavy mentor from the streets you should have known the drug effects on Lamar?
      3. Going to Kobe and others to get the real from the person not on drugs makes more sense?
      4. Once you say, you yourself, tried to help but were unable to reach Lamar you should have known it’s not that easy to help someone that refuses to accept the help or help themselves?

I think Master P should (first visit or at least check in on Lamar, if he hasn’t already) then be man enough to publicly apologize to Kobe even if he personally doesn’t like Kobe, which is obvious.

I think that would be what the bigger man does IMO. But of course Master P is responsible for Master P and will do whatever he chooses to do.

MP needs to take a step back, take a seat, reevaluate his relationship with Lamar, then think twice before reacting OR responding to matters that he himself is not 100 percent supportive of.
