A man brutally beat his girlfriend after catching her with another man. According to the Daily Express in Trinidad, Ricardo Jerome, 37, approached his girlfriend while she was talking to a man at Nella’s Sports bar in Arouca, Trinidad.

In a video that was captured by the bar’s surveillance camera, Jerome can be seen slamming the woman, 26, to the ground and kicking her in the head repeatedly. He also hit her several times with a metal object and also kicked her in the face. Another woman attempted to stop the brutal attack, but the man who was on the date with Jerome’s girlfriend fled the scene. The beating continued for several minutes after the 49-second video ended. Witnesses say he dragged the woman out of the bar by her dress and left her at the edge of the sidewalk. The video has since gone viral.

The woman refused to speak with authorities who wanted an account of what occurred during the attack. Days after the initial beating, Jerome turned himself in to police with the woman he beat by his side. Jerome and the victim allegedly have a child together.

Jerome was charged with intent to commit bodily harm and was granted a $60,000 bail. He remains in jail.
