On Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, radio personality Angela Yee of Power 105.1’s nationally syndicated morning show, “The Breakfast Club,” spent her day in Detroit hosting the 33rd annual Coat for Kids fundraiser. Yee co-hosted the event alongside FM98 WJLB radio personality Bushman to raise thousands of dollars to support Detroit children’s winter coat needs.

Angela Yee’s voice was heard floating over the Detroit airwaves as she broadcast live from the Coats for Kids event, but that wasn’t all she came to do. Yee was very candid and friendly and when she wasn’t on-air, she was posing for photos and selfies, sharing advice and even accepting music and merchandise from aspiring music artists and designers.

Not only did children have the opportunity to meet Angela Yee, they also enjoyed free face paintings, free food courtesy of the McDonald’s food truck, lots of giveaways and a chance to meet other celebrities like Big Sean, Dej Loaf and Omarion.

Coats for Kids 2015 was sponsored by FM98 WJLB radio, the Salvation Army, Metro PCS, McDonalds and Ford Motor Company and raised well over $50,000.
