Cynthia Bailey is usually one of the cooler heads in the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” bunch and at one time she was adamant about staying out of the outlandish drama involving the other ladies on the show. However, over the past couple of years, Bailey has found herself in numerous “RHOA” beefs and things took a violent turn for her this season of the show when she got into a physical altercation with her “RHOA” frenemy Porsha Williams and kicked her in the stomach. After months of anticipation, Bravo aired the fight during Sunday night’s episode and now Bailey is weighing in on the infamous moment.

In her latest Bravo blog, Bailey opened up about the fight, which was started after Williams called Bailey a “b—-” during an argument over a separate argument between Kenya Moore and Williams’ friend, Shamea, during Moore’s boat party.

“In my opinion, the word ‘b—-‘ can be used in fun as a term of endearment or disrespectfully as an insult. It depends on the tone and context in which it is used and interpreted. How did Porsha and I go from having fun and kicking it to a heated confrontation, when all I was attempting to do was try to prevent Kenya from kicking her friend Shamea off the boat? Was it wise to get caught in the line of fire to try to diffuse a bomb that was never intended for me? Looking back, probably not. Maybe I should have kept my big mouth shut, sat back with the other ladies, and watched the fireworks,” Bailey said.

Bailey also addressed that she and Williams seemed to have put aside their beef in the time before the fight, which was pointed out by Williams, who was helping to cheer up Bailey during Moore’s party.

“Porsha and I were having a great time together until we had a breakdown in communication, which turned into a major misunderstanding. That combined with several cocktails and disrespect of personal space took the conversation somewhere it was never meant to go. When I walked away from everyone in pursuit of peace to speak with Kenya on behalf of Shamea, the last thing that I expected to hear from Porsha was ‘whatever b—-.’ I felt like my friendship with Kenya and my good intentions were being mocked when she called me a b—- in that moment. I perceived it to be disrespectful, whether that was her actual intent or not,” she said.

Bailey then shared that she feels she overreacted to Williams’ comment.

“Looking back, I think I may have misjudged Porsha’s intentions and overreacted. The only thing that I was focused on was going to speak with Kenya to allow Shamea to remain on the boat,” Bailey said.

But that’s not all that Bailey had to say. Read her explanation about why she got physical with Williams, after the cut.
