Bryan-Michael Cox and Mylah partnered in an effort to create a platform for emerging artists to display their craft. This was an incredible idea, as the future of music seems to be going in a totally different direction in terms of sound, sales, and the politics of the music business. What our ’60s and ’70s babies grew up on has almost done a 180 degree turn in terms of what’s selling and what’s going down on the radio. Indie artists need support in order to make their voices heard. Who better to spearhead a project like this than Grammy winning producer Bryan-Michael Cox?

The night was incredible as songwriter/artist Rico Love headlined the evening promoting some of this new hits. He was preceded the budding songstress Jayla Darden, singer and choreographer (to Iggy Azalea, Kandi Burruss, Demetria McKinney) Victor Jackson, and Tmelle (pronounced TA-Mell). Mylah was not only our gracious host but opened up the show with her incredible music from her official EP project.

Mylah has been performing and writing since the age of 17. She’s worked with veterans such as Sean “Diddy” Combs, Brandon “B.A.M.” Hodge, Adonis Shropshire and Grammy winning producer and songwriter Bryan-Michael Cox. Performing on worldwide platforms such as the legendary SOB’s and the world famous TRL stage in New York has definitely prepared Mylah for this journey. In spring of 2013, when Mylah released her first official EP, Silver And Gold, the self-penned lead single from it, “Honesty,” was a hit.

Before she knew it, “Honestly” was in rotation on the Music Choice channel and on the airwaves in six radio markets. Mylah has partnered with B. Cox and is currently promoting an EP project titled Supply And Demand. The lead single,“No Limit,” is available on iTunes and we are awaiting her full-length album.
