For years, David Justice has been unable to untangle his name from his famous ex-wife Halle Berry. And it’s not just because they were married, but also because, to this day, some fans still speculate that he’s the man Berry spoke of when she revealed that an unnamed former lover nearly made her deaf in one ear after hitting her. In the past, Justice has denied the claims and last night he spoke publicly about it again, asking that Berry finally clear his name.
As fans may remember, back in November, Berry and her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, announced that they were divorcing. At the time, Justice came out of left field and blasted Berry online.
“Yup..Me,Eric,Gabriel and Olivier were all her ‘Knight in Shining Armor’,until it ends..Then we all become the worst guys in history,” he wrote in one tweet. He also shared, “She could’ve squashed [the rumors] at that time. I have 3 kids and a wife for 15 years. It was important that my kids knew that their dad didn’t do [it].”
He also called Berry out for not clearing up the rumors that he abused her.
“It just makes me mad to still see the same lie being perpetuated about the source of her abuse being me.Never happened!#formerboyfriend,” Justice wrote, before hinting at the other long held rumor that it was Berry’s other ex, Wesley Snipes: “It was a former Hollywood boyfriend (WS) that she told me ! #getyourfactsright”
Berry never publicly responded to Justice’s tweets, and since then things have been silent on Justice’s part. But yesterday, Justice appeared on “Inside Edition” and, once again, demanded that Berry clear his name.
“People would say, ‘yeah, I heard it was David Justice,'” the former baseball star said.
“If it was me, then say it. Say it. But she can’t say it because she knows it wasn’t. So she’d rather not say it and just let you go ahead and believe it,” he added.
Justice says that he’s adamant about having Berry set the record straight because the rumors are hurting his family and his ability to get endorsements.
“She will say some things that are very disparaging once the relationship is over that may not necessarily be true,” Justice said. “It would’ve been cool if you had come out a long time ago and let people know it wasn’t me. That would’ve been cool. But you didn’t do it.”
Berry still hasn’t responded to Justice and we doubt she ever will at this point.
