It’s been quite the journey for Tyra Banks when it comes to having a baby. For years, Banks has spoken about a desire to have a child, but late last year she revealed in an emotional segment of the now-defunct talk show “FABLife” that she had been experiencing fertility issues and was having a hard time getting pregnant with her boyfriend, Norwegian photographer Erik Asla. However, just a few weeks ago, Banks revealed that she and Asla had finally welcomed a baby into the world thanks to a surrogate. Now, Banks has finally shared the first photo of her adorable son.

As previously reported, Banks and Asla welcomed their son, York Banks Asla, thanks to a gestational surrogate and announced their baby to the world via an Instagram photo of his baby cap and a statement to the press.

“We are so excited for our new baby boy bundle of joy. The journey to now has not been an easy process, as I’ve shared before. But there was a beautiful bright light at the end of the tunnel for me and his father, Erik,” Banks said.

“As I gaze into the beautiful eyes of my son, I think about all the people who struggle with fertility or carrying a child and continue to pray for them every day. My hopes and dreams are filled with well wishes that they get to feel what my little treasure, York Banks Asla, feels like in my arms,” she added.

At the time, however, Banks and Asla decided not to share any photos of York with the world. But yesterday, Banks decided it was finally time to let her fans see her son and she posted a beautiful photo of herself cradling her photogenic son in her arms as she showed off her modeling skills as well.

“This is the Happiest Valentine’s Day of my life. York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love,” Banks captioned the photo.

We’re happy that Banks got to spend Valentine’s Day with her new family and we wish many more for her, York and Asla.
