The 58th Annual Grammy Awards didn’t disappoint. Taylor Swift, 26, makes history when she wins Album of the Year for 1989 at the 2016 Grammy Awards event; she is the only woman to win twice in the category.  She says, “As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.” She also won best pop vocal album and best music video for “Bad Blood.”

Standing on stage live at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the pop icon’s comments follows Kanye West release of his latest album T.L.O.P. which includes a single, “Famous,” a biting track about engaging in sex with her and an outlandish claim he made “that b*tch famous,'” a surprising reference to his 2009 MTV Awards stage invasion. She continues, “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday, when you get where you are going,’ she added. ‘You will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment.”
