International recording artist and virtuoso violinist Lee England Jr. recently celebrated the launch of his Love Notes Music Organization initiative with a charitable gala at the newly renovated Genesee Theatre in his hometown of Waukegan, Illinois.

The black-tie affair kicked off with red carpet photo ops and a private VIP reception. Once inside, attendees enjoyed the sounds of renowned DJ Joe Kollege while being treated to appetizers and cocktails. The evening proceeded with a soulful array of music and entertainment, a tribute to philanthropist Jack Benny, a native of Waukegan, and one of England Jr.’s greatest influences, and culminated with a heartfelt performance by the man of the hour.

The Love Notes Music Organization is a nonprofit created to help youth achieve their potential by providing workshops, artist in residence programs, summer camps, instruments, and performance opportunities. Students are taught music instruction according to Love Notes Music Organization’s standard of excellence curriculum. The foundation utilizes a series of partnerships with nonprofit organizations, local agencies, music instruction schools, universities and elementary/secondary schools to reach their immediate goals and encourage the natural talents of their students.

“Music education provides many benefits,” England Jr. says “Studies show a strong link between achievement in the arts and other academic subjects. Yet, funding for music education has dramatically declined. The Love Notes Music Organization intends to help fill this void by providing inspiration, innovative instruction, and access to instruments to meet the needs of youth around the world.”
