There seems to be a surge in the number of teachers who have been accused of having sex with their students. The latest case comes out of New Berlin, Wisconsin. In this case, English teacher Sara Domres, 28, is accused of having multiple sexual encounters with a 16-year-old male student. It is believed the illicit relationship had been going on since 2015 and the teacher had sex with the student 15 to 16 times. The encounters took place in parking lots and surprisingly at a Motel 6 while the woman’s fiancé was having a bachelor party that very night.

Police began investigating Domres in January of this year after being alerted by the underage victim’s friends, who grew concerned over the sexual encounters. During the investigation, police recovered over 1K text messages from the teacher to the victim, one of which stated, “Baby Boo, I love you now & forever! Please be mine forever & ever. Always, your baby girl. P.S. Good luck on your quiz [smiley face].” The night before the pair’s sexual romp at Motel 6, Domres texted, “You’re extremely attractive to me!!! I can’t wait for our night we are doing it no matter what!!!”

Domres was well aware that she was breaking the law and jeopardizing her freedom. Police uncovered a Google search where she queried, “What’s the prison sentence for a teacher sleeping with a student?”

Police finally arrested the teacher and she appeared in court where she pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault of a student. Her husband, who actually caught the pair in the act in a parking lot, was by her side during the hearing. She now faces up to 12 years in prison if she is convicted of her crimes. Domres is now free on a $1K bond.
