Richard Simmons was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles this weekend, after exhibiting bizarre behavior.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, they responded to a call from the 67-year-old fitness guru’s home at 11:52 p.m. on Friday, June 3. One person was then transported to the hospital via ambulance, reports ET. While the LAFD has not yet confirmed whether it was Simmons who was transported, TMZ reports Simmons was “exhibiting bizarre conduct,” resulting in his admittance.

Simmons was “acting in an unusually strange manner, which resulted in someone inside his residence calling 911,” sources tell TMZ. Of course, this isn’t the first time Simmons has been accused of unusual conduct. In March, the New Orleans native spoke with ET, where he explained why he’s been MIA for more than two years, amid reports he’d been kidnapped.

“I am not kidnapped,” he said. “I am just in my house right now.”

“No one should be worried about me,” Simmons added. “The people that surround me are wonderful people who take great care of me.”

In case you missed it, the phone interview took place just one day after the New York Daily News published a “very hurtful” article claiming that the “Sweatin’ to the Oldies” creator was “being held against his will inside his Hollywood Hills mansion,” adding that his former friends had become “concerned.”

“I love all the people who worry about me. But it was time for me to take some time to be by myself,” Simmons continued. “For the last 40 years I have been traveling, teaching classes, and I had a knee injury, so I had a knee replacement, which was very difficult for me. I have really just been taking it easy, staying at home, working out in my gym and doing the things I haven’t done in a very long time.”

Although there’s been some speculation Simmons may be battling health issues, he’s remained adamant that he simply wishes to live his life in seclusion (for now), urging fans not to worry about him. “If I was in any trouble, if I was hurting in any way, I would reach out,” he assured ET. “It is time right now for Richard Simmons to take care of Richard Simmons.”

Meanwhile, Simmons’ last public appearance was on December 13, 2013 at SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert at L.A.’s ACME Comedy.
