The Rainbow PUSH Coalition in conjunction with Chevrolet have set their sights on helping more families find new roads and accelerate their paths towards financial success. The PUSH Money Matters financial workshop series launched this year in Chicago at the Rainbow Push Headquarters.  Speakers including Helen Crawley-Austin, Kevin Ross, Gail Perry-Mason, Gwen Thomas and Riana Lynn came together with the focus and goal of teaching youth how to budget, invest, and become entrepreneurs. “We create ideas every single day. It can be scary to turn your idea into a business, but there are some quick tools and community organizations that can help take your ideas from a minimum product to actually making yourself some money”, said Riana Lynn, CEO of Food Trace. Lynn’s company helps food businesses track where their food is coming from and where it’s going. At a young age, she had an idea and turned it into a profitable business that combined her passion and entrepreneurial spirit.

Rev. Tyrone McGowan, Program Director for the Money Matters financial empowerment series says, “The goal of this multi-city financial workshop series is to empower minority communities and speak directly to millennials. We want to equip them with the vital information needed to accelerate their financial futures, learn how to budget, save and invest or even become their own boss.”
