Details about gunman, Gavin Long, who killed 3 Baton Rouge police officers

Today, July 17, 2016 is Gavin Long’s 29th birthday. The former Marine sergeant from Kansas City, Missouri, opened fire on police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He took the lives of Montrell Jackson, 32, and Matthew Gerald, 41, and Brad Garafola, 45, at around 8:45 a.m. in the Old Hammond area — less than a mile from police headquarters. One officer is in critical condition and the two others suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are being treated at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at press time.

He was honorably discharged in August 2010 after five years of service and his final Marine rank was E-5.

Cosmo is a nutritionist, life coach, dietitian, personal trainer, author and spiritual advisor. At the age of sixteen, after self-educating himself about fitness, nutrition, and diet, Cosmo lost over eighty pounds in six months. He then joined the United States Marine Corps and earned the rank of Sergeant (E-5) in less than three years as one of the Corps most physically fit Marines. During that time he frequented the highly treasured and revered mountainous regions of Africa and was taught by Africa’s native spiritual practitioners and elder holistic healers. Cosmo has been an avid student of nutrition, health, fitness, personal transformation and spiritual mastery since the age of sixteen. He conducts sports nutrition workshops locally, nationally, and internationally.
