When women connect with people and resources that lead to personal and professional growth, their lives elevate. Women Who Wine Detroit hosted their fifth sold-out event, Elevate: A Rooftop Affair, at the Madison Rooftop in downtown Detroit. Surrounded by a magnificent view, entrepreneurs, socialites, and professionals networked and socialized with other like-minded women during an evening filled with live entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and wine. Also in attendance were local female business owners who served as vendors and sponsors of the event. Some of them included Chocolate Curlies, Regal Event Planning, Sparkling Eyewear and International Nails. At the end of the night, guests received beautiful gold gift bags filled with nail polish, tea samples, wine glass charms, hair and body care products and more.

Women Who Wine Detroit was founded by millennial entrepreneur, Ci’era Blankenship, who desired to create a women’s organization “that is not only limited to successful women or entrepreneurs, but all women who have the desire to be a part of a network of supporters who wish to build new friendships that would ultimately enrich their lives.” Blankenship serves on the executive board with a team of fellow Detroit-based women entrepreneurs who believe in the brand’s mission. Chief event coordinator, Brittany Powell, hosted the Power Moves Networking Brunch this past spring.

Women Who Wine Detroit is a community engagement organization that hosts events combining philanthropy with opportunities for women to foster friendships and partnerships. Adding wine to the equation allows for women to relax, have fun and be more open to establishing new relationships. Each event also allows the organization to donate a percentage of its proceeds to a local nonprofit. Membership includes access to private events and exclusive discounts.
