Meet Volare’s leading man, designer and creative visionary, Troy Adkins. Described as one of the “best dressed brawny men in the city of brotherly love,” the 28-year-old discovered his niche in fashion, taking a conscious and innovative approach to a somewhat non-existing Big and Tall industry.

According to the Philly native, his fashion journey began after the tragic passing on a longtime friend and supporter. He attended a local event, donned in a leather custom VOLARE shirt, paying homage to his brawny brother. Soon after, “Everyone began inquiring about the brand,” he tells rolling out. Immediately, Adkins knew VOLARE was the start of something Big.

With New York Fashion Week in high gear, the groundbreaking collection will make its debut at NYFW S/S 2017 on Wednesday, Sept. 14. In fact, the Big and Tall menswear line, styled by renown celebrity stylist and Vogue Italia Fashion Editor, James R. Sanders, will be the first-ever of its kind to grace the catwalk during one of fashion’s most prestigious happenings. To top it off, stars including Jamal “Gravy” Woolard (Notorious), rapper Fat Trel, comedian Faizon Love, and reality TV star Cisco Rosado (“Love & Hip Hop”), have signed on to strut their stuff.

Meanwhile, confirmed celebrity guests include Mama Jones (“Jim & Chrissy Vow or Never”), as well as runway show cameos featuring former NFL Jay Alford, boxing heavyweight, Jarrell Big Baby Miller, Los Angeles Clippers alum Kenyon Martin, on air personality Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson of CBS’ “Brown & Scoop,” “American Idol” alum Jermaine Jones, and filmmaker Peter Parrkker, among others.

Adkins’ hope for the line? “The brand is not only an extension of me and my best friend’s styling escapades together, but also represents every man,” Adkins said.”Our time is now to create a legendary lane in fashion.”

“Whether short, stocky, tall, or lofty, VOLARE is dedicated to establishing the new depiction of big and tall clothing, with a healthy selection of trendy tailored pieces, leather jackets, collar shirts, athletic wear, denim, men’s boxers and so much more,” Adkins added.
