Beauty brand Organic Root Stimulator (ORS) Olive Oil and the omen of Bad Boy – Faith Evans, the trio Total (Kima Raynor, Keisha Epps and Pam Long), and “Ms. Boomkack” herself Laurieann Gibson – joined forces to host the Beauty Chronicles Empowerment Brunch during the Bad Boy Reunion Tour weekend in Detroit. Beauty Chronicles is a women’s empowerment brunch series created by Brand Maverick Entertainment’s President Steven Jones and co-produced with Prolific Music Group’s Cheryl Flowers Briggs. It was hosted in conjunction with the Bad Boy Reunion Tour that is now touring the US. The Detroit event was held at Two Eleven Ultra Lounge in downtown Detroit, and welcomed a standing room only crowd.

The brunch was moderated by the beautiful Koffey Brown, radio personality, Hot 107.5 FM. She took the panel through a series of questions that were designed to give the audience an intimate look at the ladies present day lives and she also moderated a Q-and-A discussion with the audience. The panelists reminisced about their younger days and talked about what it was like to be back on the stage after twenty years.

The overall theme and official hashtag of the brunch was #NoStereotypes. Each of the ladies expounded upon what that meant to her. When Faith Evans was asked how she felt about there being stereotypes in the industry, her response was, ” Well, there’s a lot of stereotypes in this world, especially for the people of minority culture.” She went on to say, “I’ve kind of always been someone that doesn’t let things like that permeate my energy or my thoughts. I don’t really get into all of that. There’s so much talent in the world. I know so many dope people that nobody would never know their names outside of the church …”

The brunch ended with a meet and greet of the panelists, photo ops with Total, and a dance contest to win tickets to the night’s concert. Approximately 10 tickets were given away.
