Shaquille O’Neal blasted for speaking against Colin Kaepernick on Fox News

Shaquille O’Neal is the latest athlete to voice his opinion on Colin Kaepernick. While on Fox News, O’Neal revealed that he didn’t agree with Kaepernick sitting during the national anthem.

“I don’t know Colin, but again, to each his own,” O’Neal said. “I don’t really have a say on it, but I would never do that. My father was a military man, and you know, he protected this country. Uncles are in law enforcement, you know, they go out and work hard everyday.”

O’Neal continued by questioning if Kaepernick’s protest was genuine. “My question is, ‘How come you didn’t do it last year?’ Or, ‘How come you didn’t do it when you entered the NFL?’” O’Neal said.

It’s apparent that O’Neal missed the point of Kaepernick’s protest. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback never spoke against military and was simply protesting the oppression that minorities face in this country today.

O’Neal has a right to an opinion as much as Kaepernick has the right to sit during the national anthem. But O’Neal is currently catching flack on social media for speaking out against Kaepernick:

Shaq and Clarence Thomas are both married to white women. Admit it or not whoever you are married to and sleeping with every night is going to have a real influence in your life. Now, add to that the fact that your big income and/or power is fundamentally coming from white men. They are basically friendless which makes their wives and family even more valuable to them. If they lose their family they virtually alone when a friend becomes anyone you can trust because that is the best they could do. Money cannot buy friendship or love. Shaq speaks for Shaq. No Black man would pay $5.00 to listen to Shaq give his opinion on ;politics or anything else. Clarence Thomas would probably be the most hated black man in the U.S. if he was totally stripped of the protection that comes with his status. For as long as your money don’t run out you can always finds some one to keep you company. Clarence probably felt like he had died and gone to heaven when he pulled him a real white woman and she married him to. Clarence was a Georgia boy during the time where a brother could still get lynched for getting fresh or even thinking out loud fresh any southern lady. Clarence would probably give up the bench before he would let that white woman walk away out of his life. How many of his peers of color called Shaq a friend? With all that money he has made his big ass still wanting to be a cop wearing a pistol with a stick in the other hand. What more co you need to know about a brother like that. White folks kind of rich and his black ass want to be a uniform cop. Something is bad wrong with that picture.

then why do blacks support hillery who had a hand in WRITING those laws making it a capital offense to look at white women? Bill bragged about burning black churches as a kid.

          • Robert Slackware on October 23, 2016 at 5:11 pm

    • Robert Slackware on September 10, 2016 at 11:40 am

obama doesn’t know about ANY of the rights in the constitution.

      • Kamari on September 10, 2016 at 12:38 pm

NFL Owner is backing Kaepernick; in recognition that he DOES have the right to stand or not.

        • Robert Slackware on September 11, 2016 at 10:04 am

but won’t back his SECOND amendment to protect himself.
So this has nothing to do with rights.

Just like kaepernick is entitled to his opinion, so is Shaq. It’s amazing how you all including the author of this one sided screed attack are acting just like the trumpkins

  7. Whiteguy on October 2, 2016 at 6:12 pm

Another form of black on black crime. Shaq cannot express his opinion?
