5 up-and-coming actors who deserve more love

Though Fox’s new baseball drama “Pitch” got off to a slow start, managing only 4.2 million viewers during its September 22 premiere, one thing’s for sure, newcomer Kylie Bunbury is one to watch. Tugging at our heartstrings, the series centers on Ginny Baker (Bunbury), a fearless young female pitcher, who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to take the mound in the major leagues. While the concept isn’t that far-fetched. After all, who’s to say a woman wouldn’t be able to hold her own in a male-dominated institution? Nothing quite tops a good underdog story — one fueled by a little girl power.

Despite the fact that the show’s long-term future is looking rather dim, given a decent lead in, chances are the Canadian-born beauty’s charm will reel viewers in. In addition to an impressive resume including The Sitter, “Twisted”, “Tut,” and “Under the Dome,” the 27-year-old certainly has the chops to turn it all around.

Much like Bunbury, the following actors may not have found their big break just yet, but we definitely haven’t counted them out. For five more up-and-coming actors who deserve more love, hit the flip.
