Rich Homie Quan establishes success through independence

Rich Homie Quan could sign with any major record label in the world, but he remains a force as an independent. Rich Homie Quan learned early that success can be established by working hard and building a brand.


In the summer of 2012, Rich Homie Quan set out to make a name for himself in the Atlanta rap scene. He garnered respect early after releasing the mixtape, Still Going In. He soon gained the attention of Gucci Mane who featured Rich Homie Quan on his Trap House III mixtape. But Rich Home Quan’s life changed after the release of his single “Type of Way.” The song was reviewed by the New York Times and garnered major radio spins across the nation.


Rich Homie Quan eventually became one of the top artists in 2013 after being featured on “My N—,”  and his next charting single, “Walk Thru.” His achievements earned him a spot on the 2014 XXL freshman class list.

And although labels such as Def Jam, Atlantic, and Cash Money have all reached out to Rich Homie Quan with the hopes of convincing him to sign, Rich Homie Quan continues to achieve excellence by establsihing an incredible career as an independent artist.
