A man dressed as the infamous killer Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street film series is being sought by police after a shooting during a party. Police in San Antonio, Texas, state that around 5 a.m. Sunday, several uninvited males showed up to a Halloween party at a home and started causing trouble. The host of the party and others tried to get the uninvited guests to leave the residence. The situation escalated and one of the men who was dressed as Krueger pulled a gun and began shooting partygoers.

The assailant shot four men and a woman, then fled the scene before police could arrive. Three of the victims were taken to University Hospital. The injured woman tried to drive herself to Christus Santa Rosa Hospital but wrecked her car along the way. Police say another male victim was treated at Baptist Medical Center downtown. Police are still investigating the shooting and are searching for the suspects.

This was the second shooting at a Halloween party over the weekend that made national news because of violence. In New York, two women — 20-year-old Tabitha Cruz and 18-year-old Omani Free — were killed and five were left injured after gunfire erupted at a party. The two victims were preparing to leave the party when an unidentified gunman opened fire on the partygoers.
