Mushiya Tshikuka, star of WEtv’s “Cutting it in the ATL” and owner of the Damn Salon and Runway Curls Extensions, closed out Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with her I Am Strong Mission — Day of Glam, where four breast cancer survivors were treated to a day of beauty at the Damn Salon. The survivors nominated by Tshikuka’s social media followers are Delphyne Lomax, Brooke Terrell, Jackie Andrews and Suzanne Nelson.

“The I Am Strong Mission is one that is dedicated to the celebration of life, love, sisterhood, community, and strength,” says Tshikuka. “My heart gets so full when I’m able to bring together my team of natural hair stylists, some of my peers across the beauty industry along with other business owners who all come together in solidarity to support women who are fighting to live, fighting to maintain their strength and fighting to move forward.”

The winners indulged in a full day of pampering beauty services by a handpicked glam squad. Services included hair makeovers using Runway Curls Extensions; facials by Clinical Aesthetics of Atlanta Day Spa; makeup by YBlimited & Double Dip Diva Glam Squad; and wardrobe from Shop O2G and styled by celebrity stylist Melvin Styles. Following the makeovers, Tshikuka treated the survivors to a private dinner party catered by chef Elijah Brumfield.

The ladies received a bag of swag that included beauty products and gift certificates from Jones and Rose Skincare, The Glamatory, Belasse Boutique Collection, and Blame It on the Cupcakes.

Tshikuka founded the I Am Strong Mission more than 10 years ago offering transformational makeovers that not only changes their exteriors but also reinvigorates their internal confidence, strength and hope after devastating life circumstances. Just this past February, Tshikuka conducted natural hair makeovers on minority women in the military as well as veterans who were previously banned from wearing and embracing their natural hair while in active duty.
