K Camp and his family invited all of Atlanta for an exciting night of celebrity performances in exchange for donations to those in need. Cobb Civic Center held the third annual Campsgiving event Nov. 23, hosted by entertainment industry executive, Kenny Burns. “K Camp is my little brother and I’ve been mentoring for a while. I literally flew from L.A. to D.C. yesterday and flew here today just to do this. I had to show my face at Campsgiving 2016,” Burns said.

Comedian Mario Tory got the night off to a great start with a few jokes geared toward the kids who attended the concert.

T.I. made a special appearance, introducing artists such as Damoni (T.I.’s son), Trans Lee and Tokyo Jetz. Young Dro also performed “We in Da City.” T.I. was then given an award on behalf of the Camp family, for being such a pillar in the Atlanta community. K. Camp’s mom, Shauna Hervey, told T.I. that he was her role model as she handed him the award.

The crowd became thrilled as R&B artist Sammie approached the stage and performed, “I Like It.” He dominated the stage with his fun energy and had everyone singing along.

Artists such as Cap G, YFN Lucci and Kent Jones graced the stage as well. The artists were there to support Campsgiving and giving back to the Atlanta community.

“I just love giving back, man. I love how the kids are happy to see me. You know I just go in there and just love the energy. It is all fun. We have to give back,” YFN Lucci said.

Sammie said the night was all about love, “It’s all about giving back to the community. It comes from a genuine place.  It isn’t for money or for me.  It’s just about giving back and I’m big on that.”

The concert ended with a performance by the man of the hour himself, K Camp. He performed hit songs “Money Baby,” “1Hunnid,” “Comfortable,” “Cut Her Off,” “Lil Bit” and “Do It.” He was very engaging with the crowd. Although there were about 300 people in attendance, K Camp performed as if there were thousands of people in the audience.

Camp’s mom said they began Campsgiving back in 2007 and it has become a bigger platform since K Camp has become famous. Kamp’s mom gives back because she feels it is her purpose and she can relate to those in need.

“When the mortgage industry crashed in 2007, I almost lost my house four times. I struggled with two children and I was this close to being homeless. God keeps me alive so I can continue to give back, “Camp’s mom said.

Campsgiving 2016 was a huge success full of good intentions, as well as giving back to those in need this holiday. If you missed this years’ epic Campsgiving, make sure you don’t miss the next one.
