Several of the hottest artists in rap and R&B provided heat for the frigid weather in Atlanta at V103’s WinterFest. Held at the Philips Arena, the event opened with the melodic sounds of Lloyd and TheDream who provided the  audience with the perfect soundtrack for “cuffing season.” Pusha T served as the TheDream’s special guest and performed his verse from “Mercy.”

Fabo and D4L entered the stage and paid homage to Shawty Lo by rappiing “Dey Know” and “Spaceships on Bankhead.”

Young Thug performed for the first time since catching backlash for a negative video that went viral. His hometown crowd greeted him with a warm reception as he performed songs such as “Best Friend” and “Pick Up the Phone.”

2 Chainz hit the stage and performed several of his past hits and also brought out the Migos as his special guests. Although Lil Wayne hasn’t released an official album since 2013 due to issues with Cash Money, he proved that he can still move the crowd by performing hits from his extensive discography.

Jeezy proved to be the highlight of the show by reminding the audience of his vital contributions to Trap music. He kept the crowd motivated and brought out the biggest star of the evening, Usher.

Overall, the V103 WinterFest will be remembered as one of top rap concerts of 2016.
