Steve Stephens brazenly shot and killed an elderly man in cold blood on Easter Sunday. The assassination of Robert Godwin, 74, happened on East 93rd just south of the Interstate 90 in Cleveland, Ohio’s Glenville neighborhood. Earlier reports say the attack happened LIVE on Facebook, but Facebook says the video was actually recorded and then posted. On Sunday, April 16, 2017 at around 3 p.m. Stephens stops his car and says, “Finally found somebody I’m going to kill, I’m going to go kill this old dude.”

He walked up to the unassuming senior gentleman and told him to say the name “Joy Lane,” then pulled out a gun and opened fire.

A bald Stephens is 6-foot-1-inch tall and weighs 244 pounds. He wears a full beard and was last seen near Cleveland State University. He drives a white Ford Fusion with temporary tags.

His ex-girlfriend, Joy Lane, is currently in protective custody.

Stephens, who works a mental health care manager, at Beech Brook, a children’s mental health facility in Cleveland, holds up his hands in a Facebook photo, likely a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
