A burgeoning hip-hop scene is emerging in Jacksonville, Florida. To capture the essence of the scene, The Smokehouse Social recently presented the Rap Showcase. Held at Odyssey Sports Bar, several Jacksonville rap artists got a chance to show their skills to an audience of influencers.

DJ Beans, a prominent DJ in the city, spoke about Jacksonville’s hip-hop scene. “The Jacksonville music scene is live,” DJ Bean said. “We have a lot of talent in the city. The local artists are grounded and they come from the heart. They’re putting in blood, sweat, and tears to get to where they need to be.”

Once the event kicked off, artists hit the stage to share their work with the enthusiastic Jacksonville crowd. Jacksonville native G Jones proved to be a standout as he performed his latest single, “At The Store.”

“Meet me at the store, meet me at the store, I gotta watch my back cause they got what I want,” rapped G Jones, who recently shot a video for the song that is picking up a buzz in the Jacksonville area.
