
At the Black Girls Rock awards show, singer Tyrese performed with Indie.Ari, delivering one of the most heartfelt soulful tributes to honoree Roberta Flack. The tribute opens with Indie Arie delivering her rendition of a Roberta Flack classic and then she brings Tyrese to the stage for the home run. It marked the first BGR award show Tyrese attended with his beautiful wife Samantha. There was a lot of whispering and side eyes going on as Tyrese scurried himself down the red carpet. Still, it seemed his participation in this event was his way of showing the sisters he still loves and will always support Black girls who rock.
Even though the awards show focused on Black girls who rock, there was a lot of male eye candy in the house to also show support Jay Ellis (Lawrence from “Insecure”), Jussie Smollett (“Empire”), Laz Alonso (Detroit), Neyo, Maxwell, Anthony Anderson (“Blackish”), Wood Harris (“The Breaks”) and Mack Wilds attended.
