How did you get into your business?

During a trip to Costa Rica, I noticed several restaurants delivering meals on bikes. I was so fascinated and loved having an array of food options brought to my door. When I came back home and was extremely limited on what I could have delivered, it dawned on me that we needed that service. Of course you can get pizza and Chinese food delivered, but the ability to get any of your favorite restaurants delivered to you was not possible. It was a void that needed to be filled.

Establishing Moving Meals and delivering the first order was a huge achievement in itself. A year ago, Moving Meals was just a dream that I was hoping to one day accomplish and here we are now fully operational with a great customer base. I was out delivering, and an order came in from my home address and I later found out my 7-year-old daughter placed the order for herself. That moment brought the realization of what I was establishing and had thus far achieved with this company.

In your opinion, what is the key to success?

If you were the first female president, what would your first order of business be?

I would be re-evaluating and reforming our educational system. I think educating our youth on our history, science, math, reading, music, and art are very important and necessary. I also think it is equally important to educate them on finances, investing, real estate, owning and operating businesses, international relations and foreign languages, engineering and robotics. Some schools offer a few classes here and there, but this should be something required in all school systems starting at the grade school level. Although, I won’t be running for president, we are establishing a nonprofit organization called Kids On The Move to teach those very things to our youth and allow them to gain real-life experience and knowledge.
