Women showed up in style last Saturday for Slaylanta, a Dark and Lovely day party at REVEL Atlanta, which is located in the city’s Westside community. The beauty brand has been maintaining Black hair for 40 years now and recently launched a new line of innovative products. The venue was a real-life purple paradise. Upon entry, all encountered a purple Dark and Lovely flower wall which provided a perfect photo op. There was also a prop-filled, mirrored photo booth that produced memorable images to take home. Guests were entertained by a DJ playing Atlanta hip-hop classics.

The new line of products in the Damage Slayer line were plentiful for swag bags. A delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres were served alongside a signature purple cocktail called the Slaytini.

Cynthia Bailey of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” hosted the event and spoke about the new line saying, “I love hair. I love changing it up. I love different styles [so] I am excited to try the new products.”

Dark and Lovely’s director of education, Mezei Jefferson, introduced a host of models with different hair types and discussed the highlights of the products. The Damage Slayer Line has a texture bond system which works to progressively strengthen the hair. There are products for both relaxed and natural hair, including a new line of temporary hair color named Go Intense Color Sprays. There was also a product demonstration showcasing the range of colors that will make textured hair and curls pop.

Every guest walked away with a goodie bag full of these new products to try at home.

The Damage Slayer Line is available where beauty products are sold.
